| Specimen Requirements: | Dacron-tipped lesion swab with plastic shaft, in viral transport medium  | 
                    
| Collection Instructions: | Vigorously swab at base of a new lesion using a Dacron swab, and immediately place swab in vial of Viral Transport Medium (VTM). See detailed instructions listed under Collection Kit 18, Viral Specimens.  |
