Recommended Uses: | To follow the efficacy of treatment on positive cases, treated patients should have a quantitative nontreponemal test performed on serum drawn at 3 month intervals, for at least one year. With adequate treatment for primary and secondary syphilis, there should be at least a fourfold decline in titer by the sixth to eighth month. Patients treated in the latent or late stages may show a more gradual decline in titer. Patients with previous treated infection, but has risk factors for reinfection. |
